PODCAST: Work-life Balance: Path to Success
When Stew Friedman from Wharton started studying work-life balance in the late 1980s, people told him it was just a “women’s issue that nobody cares about.” But now, about 40 years later, both employers and employees think it’s really important. This episode is part of a series about “Wellness at Work.”

When the Best Leadership Skill Is Just Being Present
Unlike the usual way leaders respond to employees—giving advice, rushing to fix things, or brushing off feelings—attunement means just being present with someone instead of trying to solve their problems. It’s when a leader pays attention, listens carefully, and shows the employee: I see you. I get you. You’re safe here. Sadly, this important skill is pretty rare because leaders are often taught that doing something is more important than listening.
Inside the Mind of a Master Procrastinator | Tim Urban | TED
Tim Urban knows procrastination doesn’t make sense, but he still can’t stop waiting until the last minute to get things done. In this funny and thoughtful talk, he takes us through YouTube binges, getting lost on Wikipedia, and staring out the window — and asks us to really think about what we’re avoiding before time runs out.
The Risks of Offering “Free” Goods and Services
Charging even a little for products or services helps customers see their value and feel responsible for them. While it might be tempting to offer things for free to get people to try them, this can make people think they aren’t worth much and can lead to problems later.

TRIVIA ANSWER
The answer is Answer: C) Summer Solstice
Summer Solstice usually happens around June 20 or 21, when the North Pole is tilted closest to the Sun. On this day, the Sun reaches its highest position in the sky and travels its longest path, giving places in the Northern Hemisphere the most daylight hours of the year. At the exact moment of the solstice, the Sun is directly overhead at the Tropic of Cancer, and the word “solstice” comes from Latin, meaning “sun stands still,” because the Sun appears to pause before reversing direction.
