Your positioning should be obvious, specific, and premium. Here's how to tighten it up.

If I asked you to describe your brand in 7 words or less, could you do it?

Most fractionals can’t.

They lead with credentials. Buzzwords. Years of experience.

I learned this the hard way.

When I first went fractional, I’d introduce myself as: “A fractional CMO who supports growth-stage companies with strategy and execution across multiple channels.”

It sounded smart.
But it didn’t stick.

No one remembered what I did.
Or who I did it for.
Or why they should care.

Once I tightened it all up—named the niche, productized the offer, and got specific about the outcome—everything changed.

Suddenly, people got it.
Referrals were easier.
Sales cycles shortened.
Confidence went up.

A premium brand isn’t about looking polished.
It’s about being understood.

Because when people understand what you do—and what they’ll get—
They say yes faster.
